I seem to be in a pink mood

Looking at my sale post and now looking at this card I am in the mood for pink and I am sure it will continue as I will be a nana soon.   This card is made from a scrapbook kit from scrapbookdoodle.com called Tea for Two.   She includes 2 yards of pink blossom in the kit but you know you can always use more found in my etsy shop.   Oh that was shameless!

Scrapbook Doodle kit with twine

I do some design work for Scrapbook Doodle a great little online shop.   She usually adds in some twine to each kit so I thought it would work here.  Here is layout with the twine wrapped full length and then it was used to attach a tiny tag.   Look for it as the twine is a great detail.   Here is the layout and write I did for scrapbookdoodle.com

Most of this comes from the kit.   I added the tiny tag from my stash and then the stamps are not in the kit.   I ghost stamped them for a shadow effect and was very happy with the look.

From the kit is the chipboard....fantastic colors with this paper.   The GREAT glitter Thickers and 2 yards of pink and white twine.   It is a great "girly" kit.

Morning all Tis the Season

Wanted to share a bit of the twine this morning and a code word.

First I made this cute little vintage card with Christmas tree for my other etsy shop and was so happy with how it turned out I just had to share.   It's a Christmas jalopy.   I love Tim Holtz die cuts as you probably can tell from the shop.   The twine was perfect for a pop of color and attaching it to the top of the car.

Next code word.....sweet treats.   I was featured a few days ago on her blog and I would like to follow up ( I didn't know when I would be featured) with a freebie.   10 yards of free twine with every order that you put the code word in "sweet treats".   Also include the color you want to receive for free.

Wacky Wednesdsay

Wouldn't this look even yummier wrapped up in these?   I just love the classic red and white for Christmas.   White just looks cleaner and crisper.   Do you share treats with your neighbors and friends?   I love getting goodies from my friends.   Some have the traditional gift they bring and I love opening the pomogranate jam later in the year.   The orange rolls that are delivered hot and fresh to the door.   I make gallons of salsa for my friends.   I think this year these pretty tags will be attached to the containers.

Thanks for dropping by.

Love this little gift card holder

Saw this the other day on You tube and just had to make one.   Though the one on You Tube didn't have that twine topper.   I love the little tassle like top to the beanie.   These are quite easy and cute and perfect for the holidays.   Thanks for dropping by.

Party, Party, Party! All wrapped up with twine

It's a busy weekend for me.   I helped out with a beautiful wedding reception complete with nacho bar and dancing.   The couple was stunning in  red, black and white.   Best wishes Marcus and Pearla.  This morning I am dropping off a veggie tray and staying for a baby shower for a friends daughter.   She is having a girl.   Wouldn't this be a cute garland to put up at a baby shower.   Imagine it up above the door as you come in.   Draped at the food table.   Above the windows in the main room.   So many possibilities and all of it strung up on bakers twine.

A bit of vintage today

I just couldn't part with this little card stock image.   I love the image but it just never really worked into my scrapbook layouts so I made a tag out of it and thought it would work on several gift bags from birthdays, showers, and just because.   The Caribbean bakers twine is the perfect color for this tag.   You just can't go wrong with all of the colors that are in the shop.

A neat little package

Bakers twine is so perfect for packaging.   These are custom order tickets that I just couldn't send out "naked" so I added just a bit of pink blossom, charcoal, and maraschino.   I think they look wonderful now.

Stop by talkingtwineandtrim@ etsy.com for your bakers twine.

Feelin beachy

Just a quick card with some twine and some Bo Bunny.   Love the Bliss line.   It is so easy to wrap twine around chipboard pieces to make them "pop" just a bit more.   Here I wrapped around  the surf board and then attached the beach ball on top of the bow.

Just hook me some twine

Love this little flower.

Betty Dudley whipped up this little flower with around 5 yards of twine.   Featured is the honeydew and then she added the green button.  Isn't it cute?   It could be used on a jacket or a dress, attach it to a card or make a braclet out of it.   So many fun colors and so  many fun centers for it ranging from buttons, to brads, to bling.   So if you know who to crochet you don't always need to yarn just pull out the bakers twine.

The twine continues

I hope those have ordered up their twine are enjoying it.   I know I have had several spools bought for wedding invitations.   What a beautiful way to "tie the knot".   Makes me want to make cards.   If  you have bought twine from my etsy shop and would love to be featured here let me know.

Also don't forget that I am giving away 6 yds of twine in random colors and die cuts for all orders over $10.00 before shipping.

As always I leave you with a project.   Just a simple little tag topper.

It's a tassle out of bakers twine

Had to share what a tassel looks like out of bakers twine.  This is a tag for a Fathers Day bag.   I mixed the Caribbean blue and Cappucino to make the tassel then hopped onto You tube and here it is.  The tags other materials are mostly For the Record from Echo Park.   I added some new twine this morning to the shop.   Hope you check it out.

I feel summer coming

Yep it is getting warmer each day and I am not that excited about that living here in the desert Southwest.   I wanted to share again something using twine.   If you are coming over from the shop welcome.  I will be using the blog to announce discounts and there will be freebies here and there.   So as I share my projects please link up how you are using your twine too and lets share twine ideas.

Isn't this tag just great with the maraschino cherry twine.   I love the vintage look.   It doesn't seem right to entice you over to my blog with out offering up some twine.   If there are at least 10 comments here at my blog by June 15th I will randomly draw for 20 yards of your choice of twine any color.   So leave a comment.   Link up a project.   Just say HI!!! and please come back as I plan on blogging a few projects here and there and would love to see what you all are doing with your twine.

Loving the twine

While I have quite a bit of twine listed in the etsy shop I still have a bit for myself.   I still tend to use honeydew the most but the brown is fantastic and very versitale.  Hope you check out the card from the last post and realize there is more to twine then just tying a bow or topping a tag.  But then again I love the standard uses.

A slice of twine

Had to share what I created with some twine a few days ago.   I had a scrap of the pink gingham paper and thought it would be a wonderful inside of the watermelon.   Of course it needed some rin so a bit of both greens.   But I think the kicked is the black twine for seeds.   Super easy to make.

Back in Stock!!!! Full Spools

Some of the brightest and best colors for summer are now in the shop in full spools.  Honeydew green is one of my favorite colors.   Pink Sorbet which is the hottest colors out there.  Lemon drop is just like that bright sunshine.  Just think of the possibilities.   Wrap up that package, top off that tag, attach to a card, tie up that bundle of soaps.   A couple of photos of the yummy goodness found in the shop.

Happy National Scrapbooking Day

Is it no wonder that National Scrapbooking Day is the day before Mothers Day.   I am sure many of the scrapbooking store whether they be brick and mortar, internet store, or good ole etsy are having sales today.   Perfect timing.

Well not to be out done I have the last of my full spools of bakers twine on sale this weekend.  Dropped the prices by $2.00 so head over to the shop and pick on up.

In the meantime let me share with you one of my twine creations.

Let's just tie up the loose ends

In the beginning...well not quite the beginning of my scrapping life but somewhere in there I fell in love with some linen twine.   A few years later I ordered up some cotton twine.   I haven't looked back at the rough, splitting linen though the solid colors are beautiful so I may be writing about that someday but right now bring on the cotton.  I had to have every color.   So I jumped in both feet and now have a little etsy shop by the same name.I wanted some great packaging so I put it on some die cuts.   If you like Tim Holtz die cuts and LOVE twine please check out my shop.   If you are just interested in using some bakers twine to tie up gifts and baked goodies also please check out my shop.

I will be posting project ideas, discounts, and more here with the twine. Photos to come soon.   Please bookmark my blog.
